THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AWARDS LAE’S PROJECT PROPOSAL WITH THE SEAL OF EXCELLENCE

The “Seal of Excellence“, a quality label awarded to project proposals submitted under the Horizon 2020 program, was recently awarded to LAE Lughese Attrezzature per l’Elettromeccanica. The project proposal, named “Smart Manufacturing Approach Related to Transmission Transformers“, submitted on 17th September 2015 in the area of “Accelerating the uptake of nanotechnologies, advanced materials or advanced manufacturing and processing technologies by SME’s”, following evaluation by an international panel of independent experts, “was successful in a highly competitive evaluation process as an innovative project proposal“, meaning that it successfully passed all Horizon 2020 thresholds for the 3 award criteria (excellence, impact, quality and efficiency of implementation) required to receive funding from the EU.

“We fully support the Seal of Excellence as an important first step in a longer term process of building synergies between Horizon 2020 and the European Structural and Investment Funds. It will help innovative companies to access and enhance the knowledge economy in their regions, contributing therefore to the implementation of smart specialization strategies”.
