Partner IMA Faraone SpA
succeeded in supplying a complete set of transformer assembly platforms to Izhora Transformers LLC
, a company whose product range comprises power transformers having voltage rating from 110 to 750 kV and capacity from 25 to 630 MVA, including three-phase versions and product units weighing up to 400 tons inclusive. The 22.000 square meter Izhora Transformers Plant, located in Metallostry industrial area (Kolpino district of St. Petersburg) which will be put in operation by the end of 2013, will include welding, insulating and assembly line production facilities, as well as a testing center. The company was established thanks to a key strategic project of Power Machines OJSC which brought to a joint venture to manufacture electrical equipment in Russia in partnership with Toshiba.
IMA Faraone transformer assembly platforms are mainly used for the assembly of active parts of transformers; they are easily adjustable in height and consist of a L-shaped platform surrounded by security railings (see pictures attached). The platforms can be reached by means of a movable stairway (included with the machine) and the dimensions can be increased by drawers, that can be adjusted according to the shape of the transformer coil. The main structure is made of aluminium
as well as the platform and the drawers; the platform is led on columns and can be moved vertically by means of an hydraulic system. The platforms are placed on steering rollers so that they can be moved easily to the wanted place also thanks to their low weight
