ItalianEnglishOur corrugated wall production lines allow the creation of the tank walls from sheet metal in coils and the welding of the fins in a totally automatic way.
With this process, using sheet metal up to 1600 mm wide, it is possible to cover the entire range of distribution and small power transformers.
LAE’s MACPO presses enable the four walls of the tank to be produced from a single sheet of metal and can be integrated with different welding machines according to the necessary operations.

LAE presses are among the most productive, precise and accurate in producing corrugated walls for transformer tanks. Thanks to the high degree of automation, it is possible to produce both overall panels and individual fins with high dimensional accuracy and to print the embossments, when necessary.
LAE presses are also among the most flexible on the market: in fact, they allow you to control and adjust the diagonal of the panel, minimizing any inaccuracies in the coil of the mother sheet.
Furthermore, the self-lubrication system minimizes the need for routine maintenance operations by the operator.
If it is necessary to facilitate the welding of the corrugated wall to the bottom of the tank, the LAE SARPO NT spot welder automatically applies a strip to increase the thickness of the edge.
If, on the other hand, it is necessary to join the embossments with spot welding, you can integrate the LAE SARPO NV spot welder into the corrugated wall line.
LAE MACPO S2 welding machines automate the welding processes of the lateral edges of the fins and the insertion of the rod.
The high level of precision produces a finished product of guaranteed quality.
The LAE Automatic Rod Positioning system allows you to automatically position and weld cut-to-size rods, considerably increasing the productivity of the line and avoiding a slow manual operation.
To further increase the overall productivity of the corrugated wall line, LAE's MACPO S2 welding machines can also be equipped with the CMT welding system.
